The Samsung X360 sports a excellent 13.3 inch widescreen LED backlit display with a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The resolution is almost perfect for a screen this size and doesn’t strain your eyes at all. The display quality is superb and the brightness and contrast levels are also great. The display has awesomely wide viewing angles, much more than most other displays in its class. The display is perfectly suited for watching movies and videos and can eaily accomodate an audience of 4-5 people, thanks to its superb viewing angles. The Samsung X360 also has a 1.3 MP webcam just above the display. The capture quality is pretty decent and will easily suffice for casual video conferencing and video calls.

The Samsung X360 also sports two speakers which offer nice sound quality. They lack a bit in the volume department though. The speakers are powered by Samsung’s proprietary Enhanced Digital Sound tech which enhances the sound quality a lot, but it still wouldn’t manage to appease the serious music addicts, so they will have to buy headphones and connect them to the headphone port, which is a must in any laptop. YOu can switch the speakers between Music and Movie modes.

The Samsung X360 sports a superb keyboard which has an standard layout with nice key spacing and travel. It is ideal for touch typists. The keys have a nice feel, they are coated with a antibacterial coating, and also offer nice feedback. The keys project upwards from the keyboard base. It is one of the best in class keyboards.

The touchpad is very responsive and has nice sensitivity levels. The touchpad surface is very smooth and aids in fast navigation. It also offers a good grip. The touchpad also supports basic multitouch gestures like – pinching, swiping etc. The mouse buttons located below the touchpad also have nice feedback and feel nice. There is also a vertical scroller to the right of the touchpad.
The Samsung X360 comes with a Intel Core 2 Duo U9400 clocked at 1.4 GHz. The C2D U9400 is a superb processor which supplies the right amount of power and power efficiency needed for an ultraportable. It can manage all the basic tasks and applications. It can also run the Windows Vista Business easily with no lags or delays. It may not be as powerful as desktop processors, but it has very low TDP. The Sumsung X360 also has 3 GB DDR3 1066 MHz RAM which is enough for Vista + a few applications. It comes with a 128 GB 1.8 inch SSD Drive, optionally you can also get a 120 GB hard drive, saving some cash but trading away speed and power efficiency. The graphics department is handled by the trusted Intel GMA X4500. The GMA X4500 is the commonly used integrated graphics chipset used by most notebooks currently and offers decent performance with low power consumption which is key in any ultraportable. It cannot handle any of the newer generation of games but can run the older ones with low settings easily. It is also suitable for video playback. The 128 GB SSD is low on power and also offer great data transfer speeds. As an added advantage, it is also shock resistant.

new classic hp laptop

The Mini 1000 Mi new HP laptop has a 10.1 inch display with a native resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Even if this screen has a glossy finish you will get clear images with great color quality. Powered by an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, even if it is a little too weak, and 1 GB of RAM memory, the Mini 1000 Mi new HP laptop can run multi-tasks without problems.he 60 GB hard disk will be enough for you to store your favorite music or movies. The internal speakers produce a surprisingly loud sound so you will only need external speaker if you want to listen to music at a greatly louder level. In terms of connectivity, this mini-laptop comes with 2 USB ports, a 2-in-1 Multimedia Card Reader, a modem port, an Ethernet port and the indispensable headphones and microphones jacks. The 802.11b/g Wireless Card is the only connection feature which can keep you in touch with other people.

The integrated 0.3 Megapixel Webcam is also a little too weak. The pictures have poor quality but if you want to record some clip you will be even more disappointed. The video quality is also poor and you will see delays eveecord th clip off-line.

black toshiba laptop

Toshiba Satellite L515-S4925 14.0-Inch Laptop – Black/Grey Review from Dave. Great display, not so great battery, The Toshiba L515-S4925 is part of Toshiba’s main consumer line: the L500 series of laptops. This version is the thin-and-light entry. It’s a very good laptop for someone who values good video quality (where this model excels) above battery life (where it lags behind).

A good friend bought this model and had me come over to uninstall the junk software (it was no worse than the typical bloatware found on retail notebook computers) and get it setup on his home network. Overall I liked this model but it has rather strong pluses and minuses. This is a pretty competitive market segment and I think Toshiba took a risk that will appeal to the right buyer: cut back on some less valued features and deliver a very high quality display. It’s aimed pretty squarely and HP’s very popular DV4 line of 14″ laptops and I think it competes well on most levels and (on Amazon at least) is priced about $150 less (depending on the exact DV4 model you compare it against).

Here a quick break down of the features:

CPU: Intel Pentium T4200 2.1 GHz (my friend’s came with the T4300 which is just slightly better). This is a decent dual core CPU for home use and it’s pretty typical for laptops in this price range. It’s not for anyone serious about gaming but it will run typical home apps and “light” games with no troubles. Two cores mean your system won’t slow to a crawl just because your anti-virus kicks in. While not as powerful at the Core2 line it’s still a good CPU for home users.

RAM: 4 GB 800 MHz RAM. This is becoming the new norm and it’s nice because this is lot of memory and provide some future proofing. This is plenty for home use.

HDD: 320 GB 5200 RPM. This is more than most home users will need (few exceed 100GB) and the speed is what I recommend for home users because it has a much lower failure rate than faster drives (and it’s plenty fast enough for home use).

Graphics chip: Intel 4500HD. This is also pretty typical of notebooks in this price range. It’s great for home use (including movie playback) and can run any non-3D game just fine. Older 3D games will run great too. Most new 3D games will run at dramatically reduced settings or not run at all.

Display: 14″ 1366×768 resolution (natively supports 720P video playback). This is a very nice display and I don’t know of any other laptop in this price range with a screen this nice. It’s is much better than the display you will get on the HP DV4-1433 which only comes in at 1280 x 800. It’s bright, has brilliant colors and good blacks. Toshiba clearly thought about the most important part of the laptop for most users and stepped it up a notch from the competition. Like most home systems it’s glossy which is great indoors but can be hard to read outdoors.

hp laptop g62

The HP Pavilion G62-A01SA Laptop is another great release from HP that combines great style, power and portability at its best. The laptop being an Athlon II powered laptop is intended for the bargain seekers and with such great combination of components we think the G62-A01SA is a terrific cheap laptop deal.

You must have seen the recent release of the HP G62 variant G62-A26SA which offers pretty much the same apart from minor differences, such as; the memory size in the G62-A26SA being 3GB and shared graphics memory is also slightly higher at 1534 MB in the G62-A26SA. But these small differences shouldn’t make much of a difference to an average user, should you choose any one of these great laptop deals.
